Ron Eastman - Head Coach

Coach Ron Eastman enters his sixth season as Head Baseball Coach of The Woodlands High School as the coach with the most wins in Highlander history compiling a record of 121 wins and 35 loses. In the past three seasons, he has won three consecutive district championships backed by a combined record of 90-17 for an 87% winning percentage. His overall record in 13 years as a head coach is 244-136. After a 30-5 season and a regional semifinal berth in 2003, he was named District 15-5A, Montgomery County and the Houston Chronicle’s Coach of the Year. In 2004, he was named Co-coach of the Year of District 15-5A and repeated the honor last year receiving Co-coach of the Year of District 14-5A. In 2002, Eastman was selected by the Houston Area Baseball Coaches to lead the Northeast All-Stars in the All Greater Houston All-Star game. Eastman served as varsity assistant for four years and was in charge of infielders during the 2000 State championship season. During his five years as head coach at The Woodlands, he has coached 13 All-State players and one High School All-American. Prior to coaching The Woodlands in 1997, Eastman guided the Lamar Redskins for eight years. He was named HISD and Houston Association Coach of the Year in 1995 after taking Lamar to the playoffs for the first time since 1869. This fall Coach Eastman accepted on behalf of the Baseball Program the award from The National HS Baseball Coaches Association, honoring Scotland Yard as The National HS Baseball Field of the Year. Coach Eastman is also a scout for the Houston Astros.

 

Shane Graves - Assistant Varsity Coach      [TOP]

Coach Shane Graves has been with The Woodlands Highlander baseball program for ten years. Coach Graves played college baseball at Stephen F. Austin and is a 1995 graduate of Texas A&M University. His wife, Dina, is the Assistant Athletic Director and the Head Coach of Girls Soccer at TWHS. They have a daughter Peyton Marie, and twins, son Bryce and daughter Rylie.

Chris Harden - Assistant Varsity Coach

Coach Chris Harden enters his fifth year as Assistant Coach for The Woodlands Highlander Varsity team. He is a 1998 graduate of Cheboygan High School, Cheboygan, MI, where he played Varsity baseball, football and basketball. He attended Ferris State University in Big Rapids, MI, where he earned his Bachelors in Math Education in 1997. At Ferris State he was a four-year Varsity baseball player. In 1993, he was named the MVP for the Ferris State University Baseball Team, and in the same season made Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference 1st Team All-Conference. Coach Harden is currently a Math teacher at TWHS. This is his ninth year of teaching, the last five with CISD. He is a single parent with seven year old twin sons, Jarrod & Jordan. He is the son of Richard & Lucy Harden.
Barry Wilson - Junior Varsity Coach       [TOP]

Coach Barry Wilson enters his sixth year with the Highlander baseball program, and his 15th year in coaching. Prior to coming to TWHS, Coach Wilson was at Montgomery High School, Conroe High School, and McAdams Junior High School in Dickinson. He is a graduate of Cy-Fair High School in Houston, and received his Bachelors Degree from Texas A&M University in 1986. Coach Wilson and his wife of 18 years, Judy, have two children, Braxton, 17 and Ragan, eight. Coach Wilson enjoys playing golf, fishing, and boating.

Bryan Hill - Sophomore Coach

Coach Bryan Hill enters his seventh season with The Highlander baseball program and takes over as head coach for the sophomore team. Coach Hill has been coaching for the past nine years. He has coached football and basketball at Knox Junior High (1998 – 2000), at Branch Crossing Junior High (2000 – 2005), and currently coaching at TWHS 9th Grade Campus. Coach Hill graduated from Glen Oaks High School in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, in 1986, where he made All-District and team MVP as a catcher. He also caught at Gulf Coast CC and Henderson State University, graduating from there in 1992. Coach Hill and wife, Ronda, have a son, Bridger and twins on the way.
